Edwards is looking for a Lead (Staff) Engineer. In this position you will contribute to the design, configuration and support of the Oracle JD Edwards (JDE) ERP system. You’ll ensure that system implementations and operations are executed in a way that is consistent with industry/company design, architecture, and quality standards as well as best practices. You’ll be part of a global JD Edwards Configurable Network Computing (CNC) team and will be working under the guidance of the Architecture Team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work onsite in a hybrid role, at Irvine HQ at least two days per week as needed by the team

  • Lead support and troubleshooting of issues/incidents for JDE system. Resolve problems by performing root cause analysis and developing and lead the implementation of corrective and preventative actions

  • Lead security vulnerability remediation of JDE system components

  • Execute maintenance and upgrades of JDE system

  • Execute RASP initiatives (Reliability, Availability, Scalability and Performance) for JDE system

  • Participate in infrastructure and/or systems evaluation testing/proof of concepts for JDE system

  • Participate in the design and build of JDE system

  • Author device, network and/or systems diagrams, including configuration parameters related to JDE system design and configuration

  • Provide training, coaching and knowledge transfer to junior team members

  • Provide support for User Defined Objects (UDO) and Application Interface Services (AIS), including AIS load balancing



Basic Qualifications:

  • Local or ability to relocate to Orange County, CA

  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM

  • 10+ years of experience in an IT engineering role working with cross-functional teams

  • 6+ years of JDE CNC experience in 9.1+ (Oracle WebLogic, Windows Servers, SQL Server)

  • Experience in FDA and Sox regulated environments

  • Experience working in a enterprise environment governed by Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Change Management

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Ability to lead technology projects and major enhancements to JDE platform

  • Ability to mentor junior team members


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced administrative knowledge of JDE 9.2 Apps and Tools

  • Advanced knowledge in creating environments, expanding JDE architecture with additional Logic servers and WebLogic servers

  • Advanced knowledge in applying ESUs, ASUs, Planner, upgrading deployment server local database, configuring SSL & SSL certificate generation

  • Strong experience with UDOs, such as Orchestration, UXone, Cafe1, Watchlist, Notifications and Orchestration scheduler

  • Strong experience with Mobile apps, AIS, Business Services (BSSV) and ADF

  • Strong experience on E1 security, tasks, task views, printers, data sources, OCMs & other JDE configuration tasks.

  • MS SQL knowledge
